1 – Menstruation: There are several body changes ladies go through during their menstrual cycle and a likely one is the visibility of dark nipples. This is as a result of the hormones released during menstruation. Although ladies can observe this before their menstrual cycle.
2 – Pregnancy: Apart from women having an enlarged stomach, the nipples tend to darken during pregnancy. What causes this is as a result of the production of progesterone and estrogen to facilitate milk for the baby. The areolae changes colour and the nipples darkens.
