The 13-year-old boy lamented that the repeated abuse has also affected his education, making him not progress to Class 8. A few days ago, Brian was severely beaten by his stepmother and father, who then chased him away from home.
Brian shared his ordeal, painfully narrating how he has been suffering, beaten, and mistreated at the hands of his guardian. “They even disowned him, saying, “Sitaki kumuona huyu mtoto” (I don’t want to see this child),” he said.
Brian’s neighbour disclosed that this was not the first time the boy had been mistreated, a claim bolstered by the visible scars and injuries on his body.
The youngster’s biological mum died when he was a toddler, and the only mother figure he knew was his grandmother, Roseline Misindai.
Roseline took good care of him before he was taken to his father’s house, where he suffered the wrath of his stepmother.
