Speaking during an interview with Radion 47 on Wednesday night, Mr Kioni said that going forward Kenyans are going to see a stronger, reorganised and youthful Azimio team that will form a government in 2027 or before 2027.

The former Ndaragwa member of parliament added that the opposition alliance that will be seen going forward is open to work with the country’s Gen Zs to better the country.

“Going forward you are going to see a stronger, reenergized, youthful Azimio and one that will form the next government in 2027 or before. We are ready to work with Gen Z.” Jeremiah Kioni.

Kioni’s words came barely hours after ODM party leader Raila Odinga made a decision to submit names of his close allies to be nominated in the President William Ruto’s next cabinet.

Odinga made the decision to despite strong opposition from Azimio co-principals who openly declined to join the Kenya Kwanza administration for a coalition government.

The leaders argued that joining the government would be akin to betraying the Gen Zs who have compelled the government to drop the Finance Bill and also dissolve the Cabinet.
