Royal commentator Gordon Rayner has revealed that Charles III enjoys a cocktail before his evening meal each night. His preferred drink consists of equal parts gin and dry vermouth, adorned with either an olive or a twist of lemon.

It’s been reported that His Majesty even carries these ingredients with him on his international travels. Previous reports suggest that he prefers his drink stirred rather than shaken.

King Charles demonstrated his fondness for gin last year when he was filmed enjoying straight gin during a visit to Malton in Yorkshire.

The bar, set to be located at the Sandringham estate, offers very reasonable prices, with a gin and tonic costing just £6.50. Other items available in the estate shop include a £6.99 Raspberry and Gin Preserve and £14.99 gin-flavoured chocolates, according to The Sun.

Sandringham Estate is serving up a “full-bodied” raspberry and apple tipple, infused to perfection, and their regal “Celebration Gin teeming with zesty citrus and subtle floral tones.
