Of course you already knew what you wanted to do after high school and yes most of us go for what we had planned to do. However, that is not the case for all of us.
Some of us did not reach the cluster points needed to take that specific course, or others might have changed their minds about what they wanted to do after high school.
The course one chooses is determined by a couple of things like passion and the university the course can be taken from, but in Kenya, the biggest determinant is the marketability of the course.
Marketable jobs in Kenya must be relevant to the current job market and provide skills and knowledge applicable to the local economy.
MEDICINE
Medicine has been for a long time taken lead when it comes to most marketable courses in Kenya.
When it comes to medicine, passion and patience are essential factors since it is a rather tough and quite draining. People have been known to dropout mid-studies.
Medicine is a marketable course because there is a shortage of qualified persons and hence this creates opportunities for holders of medicine degrees.
DIGITAL MARKETING
Digital marketing put more emphasis on selling products and services in the modern-day space. This modern-day spaces include social media platforms emails, websites and video platforms.

Civil engineer is one of the major engineering disciplines which is inclusive of designing, constructing and maintaining the natural and physically built environment.
