Ogamba, who had hoped for a happy life abroad, now regrets her decision to leave Kenya and marry him, revealing the emotional toll the relationship took on her.

Ogamba’s journey began when she met the man online, and their friendship soon blossomed into romance.

Their deep conversations and his persistent efforts to stay in touch convinced her that he was serious about building a future together.

After months of daily video calls and heartfelt exchanges, the man flew to Kenya, and the couple got married. Ogamba later moved to England to start a new life with him.

However, the reality of their marriage quickly unraveled. Ogamba says the first few months were blissful, but soon, the relationship deteriorated.

She described feeling disrespected as her husband crossed boundaries and engaged in verbal and emotional abuse.

“He made me feel unsafe and depressed. I had to take medication for panic attacks and depression,” Ogamba shared, recalling how the constant abuse destroyed her sense of self-worth.

The situation worsened, leading Ogamba to seek help from the police. Her husband was arrested, but the aftermath left her homeless.

“I was put in a hotel for two days by the police before I started looking for a place to stay,” she said, lamenting how the relationship took her several steps backwards.
