The 27-year-old was shot and killed in Denver, Colorado, US, on Sunday, July 21, near the University of Denver. According to the Denver Gazette, a startled resident opened fire and shot the IT expert who intruded on his home.
Munene died on the spot following the gunshot wounds on his body before the incident was reported to the police. Following the heartbreaking news, the family of the deceased appealed for help to repatriate the body of their kin.
The family needs KSh 3.7 million but has already raised some money and remains with a balance of KSh 3.3 million.
The finances are urgently needed to return the body of the young man home for burial. The Meru county-born deceased’s body is currently at Pipkin Braswell Funeral Home and Cremation in Denver.
