How Kathy Kiuna tried to keep Bishop Allan Kiuna alive
During the Sunday, July 14, church service at JCC Parklands, Kathy said she told God He would rather take her than her husband, Kiuna, because he had a great vision.
The stylish preacher talked about her deep love for her man, whom she was married to for 30 years, admitting things weren’t easy.
Talking about Kiuna’s last words, the mother of three said he kept saying he ‘wanted to go home’. Kathy recalled how she and other pastors, including Nigeria’s pastor Obasike, tried several times to keep Kiuna alive.

Bishop Allan married Reverend Kathy and was blessed with three children: Vanessa, Stephanie, and Jeremy.
In their tributes, the children showered their father with love, remembering the great times they shared.

Vanessa, an advocate in Australia, thanked mourners for attending her father’s burial. The mother of one fought tears as she eulogised her father.
Jeremy gave a heartwarming tribute while eulogising his father and fondly remembered how his father embraced his choice to wear dreadlocks.

Moments before Kathy closed her husband’s casket before the body left Lee Funeral Home, she video called Stephanie to view her father’s body.
Kathy and her two children were overwhelmed as they viewed Allan’s body while on a video call with Stephanie, who is based in Australia.
Speaking during the Sunday, July 21 church service, Kathy revealed reasons why Stephanie did not travel to bury her father.
“She really did try to come, but for issues that were beyond anybody’s control, she was not able to. But she will come soon together with her family,” the JCC co-founder said.
