Speaking at an event, Musyoka emphasized that religious leaders do not need harambees (fundraising events) to accomplish the Lord’s work, suggesting that the integrity of the church is more important than financial contributions.

“I thank Bishop James Wesonga of the Kimbo PFEA Church for standing upright,” Musyoka remarked. “If we have 20 of you, this country will be very different.”

Musyoka’s comments come in the wake of ongoing tensions in the country following the tragic events in Githurai on June 25th. He highlighted the lack of transparency surrounding the police’s actions that night, where young men and women were reportedly killed.

“It has been two months since young men and women were brutally murdered by police bullets following the Githurai night of terror on June 25th,” Musyoka said, expressing concern over the silence from authorities. “We haven’t been told the numbers which are estimated to be 300. This is not right.”

He called for prayers for the nation and the families of the victims, asserting that the influence of younger generations, including Gen Zs and Millennials, will lead to significant change in the country.
