Kalonzo said in light of the recent violence and riots perpetrated by the youth (Gen Zs), it was evident that there are many critical issues still affecting the citizens.

“Our country is at a crossroads,” he said.

“Mr president I want to urge that we look at our country afresh. There is no way we can wish away the Gen Z revolution,” he said.

He added, “If we were to begin to be honest with ourselves, perhaps we need now to go back to Bomas,” he added.

He said from the presentations that were submitted to the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) when they convened at Bomas, it was clear that many wanted it to be open to include all Kenyans.

The space for dialogue, he said, has now been set by Gen Zs through their protests.

Kalonzo spoke Tuesday at KICC when president William Ruto assented to IEBC Bill.

The bill, now an Act, is based on the recommendations of the NADCO report.

The Azimio principal said it was unfortunate it had taken too long for the country to have the first product (IEBC Bill) of the NADCO report several months since it was made public.

“I wish we had moved with speed, it has taken inordinate delays to get to where we are today to get the first product. In fact the other eight ought to be juxtaposed by the reality of the country,” he stated…CONTINUE READING>>
