Asiwaju emerged as the party’s flag bearer of the All Progressive Congress following the national convention that was held in Abuja few months ago.
Asiwaju went on to pick the former Borno state governor, Kashim Shettima as his running mate.
Speaking during today’s edition of journalists hangout on TVC, popular Nigerian broadcaster and multiple awards winning journalist, Babajide Otitoju has disclosed that Asiwaju Tinubu was convinced by Babachir Lawal and Abiodun Faleke to run for the position of the president.
According to Babajide Otitoju, the two politicians were key to Asiwaju’s decision to run. Babajide Otitoju they encouraged him by telling him that he can run for the presidential seat and become victorious.
“They told him that look, you can do it” Babajide Otitoju stated during today’s edition of the programme.
