Philip Kipng’etich Muigei, the Uasin Gishu County Assembly Speaker, confirmed that Barorot stepped down following an offer to become CEO of a multinational company, though the company’s name remains undisclosed.

Barorot announced his resignation during a meeting at a top hotel in Eldoret, with Uasin Gishu Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii in attendance.

The formal announcement is expected at the Uasin Gishu County headquarters soon.

Barorot’s departure marks a significant transition for the county, which has seen notable development projects under his tenure, contributing to its recent elevation to city status by the President.

His resignation follows a period of substantial contributions, particularly in advancing infrastructure and strategic initiatives.

A distinguished professional, Barorot holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, and Communications Engineering Technology from Moi University.
