When phones cost more than Ksh 20,000, Pastor Ng’ang’a claimed his supporters would worry about how they would pay back the loans they took out to buy them. Was it wise to spend so much money on phones, he wondered?

“Why would you spend Ksh 20,000 on a phone? You make your daily payments, and maybe Safaricom can give you a loan. Perhaps you need to have a certain level of innocence. Pastor Ng’ang’a stated in the video, “Your mind will be consumed by a phone that costs Ksh 20,000.

It’s interesting to note that Pastor Ng’ang’a claimed that he personally uses a phone valued at over Ksh 240,000, despite his own advice to his followers not to purchase expensive phones.

“I put some money to my phone, which cost Ksh 240,000, and someone offered me Ksh 160,000 to buy it. So why do you feel the need to get a phone? You know, I don’t even use a phone. I exclusively use Facebook, YouTube, and WhatsApp on it; I don’t use any other apps. But because of my class, I place it on the table when we go there,” Pastor Ng’ang’a said.
