The electoral commission delayed the gubernatorial and state assembly elections from March 11 to 18, but the exercise was ultimately carried out in 28 of the 36 states of the federation, according to a Nigeria news agency.

You may recall that INEC, despite claims to the contrary, did not update its result viewing portal with live results from the February 25 presidential election.

Many Nigerians doubted the commission’s claims that technical difficulties prevented results from being transmitted and uploaded to IReV.

Nonetheless, INEC assured Nigerians that the technological issues had been fixed and that the poll results would be broadcast immediately just days before the March 18 elections.

Election results for 28 states were available on the IReV portal as of Saturday evening at 9 p.m. Below are the states and the number of reported governor’s races.

For the name Ogun, we found 3,631 hits.
