INEC took to its social media page on Twitter to release a statement about why the gubernatorial election has been postponed. It was revealed that some political parties have been given the order to inspect the materials used for the presidential election including the BVAS and this has affected the configuration of the material, 176,000 BVAS machine is expected to be configured for the governorship and house of assembly election but there is no enough time to do that after the tribunal order.

This is simply because of the drama surrounding the presidential election as Peter Obi claimed that he is committed to retrieving his mandate after INEC announced Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the presidential election, INEC reassure Nigerians that there will be no loss of data during this process and this has to be the main priority at the moment.
