Joyce Carol Vincent was a woman who once had a vibrant life. Born in 1965, she was known to be friendly, social, and full of dreams. She worked in various jobs, had many friends, and even met famous people. However, as time went on, she became more isolated.

Her death went unnoticed because she had distanced herself from friends and family. She moved to a housing association flat in Wood Green, North London, where she lived alone. Over time, she lost touch with those who cared about her, and the bills and rent were paid automatically through her benefits, which is why no one noticed anything amiss for so long.

In January 2006, Joyce’s remains were found when housing officials broke into her flat to repossess it due to unpaid rent. What they found was haunting. Joyce had died in December 2003, likely from natural causes, although the exact reason was.
