An order obtained by Kenyans.co.ke showed that Koome alongside Attorney General Justin Muturi, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), and the National Intelligence Service (NIS) had been directed to produce Issa Osman Guyo who was abducted on Saturday and has been missing since.

Yesterday, the authorities had been ordered to produce his body for a court proceeding scheduled at 4:00 pm. The authorities, however, failed to produce the youth who was sickly upon abduction and have been ordered to make an appearance today, Thursday, at 3:00 pm.

“Whereas your attendance is necessary to answer on the whereabouts of Issa Osman Guyo, the applicant herein, and explain why you have not obeyed court orders of 10th July 2024, which were served upon yourselves on the same day,” read the notice in part.

“You are hereby commanded to appear in this court either physically or virtually at 3 pm on The 11th day of July 2024 … and not to depart from the court session without a leave of the court or until the Court Proceedings are finished.”

Besides, he has a 6-month pregnant wife who needs his utmost care and presence,” read the petition in part.

Abdi Osman Guyo, Issa’s brother, corroborated with the claim noting that his kin was sickly and needed continuous access to medication for his survival.

In response to the petition filed on July 8, the court directed the police to present the missing youth and certified the case as urgent.

“The court has allowed an application for our client who was abducted in Isiolo on Saturday and held incommunicado. The IG of the Police is now required to produce him in court at 4 pm today,” Guyo’s lawyer Benjamin Njeru stated.

Isiolo residents lamented that three individuals including Guyo were abducted on Saturday and are yet to be located…CONTINUE READING>>
