After completing primary school, she was employed as a house helper in Nairobi, where her boss was a pastor.
He would wait for his wife to leave for work and then sleep with her on their matrimonial bed, giving her money to keep it a secret.
When she fell pregnant with the pastor’s child, he advised her to rent a house in another town and promised to support her. He would tell his wife that he was going to seminars and visit her house.
According to her, all they could do was sleep together. He took care of her until she delivered her child. When the firstborn was 9 months old, she became pregnant again by the pastor.
She delivered her second child through a c-section and asked her best friend to assist her with the house chores until she regained strength. After two months, the friend stopped visiting and her phone went off.
Jane carried her children to her friend’s house and upon opening the door, she found the pastor sitting on the bed wearing boxer shorts. Angry, she left.
