Khaminwa explained that he works from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and rests on Sunday.

“I turned 88 on September 10th, and I’m still going strong. Khaminwa starts working at 8 o’clock; he doesn’t leave until five or six o’clock, then he goes home,” he said.

The senior counsel further added that he will continue serving as long as the community appreciates and accepts his contribution.

“So long as the community still accepts that I make a contribution to the system, I will continue working. I am not going anywhere, and I am hoping people appreciate that I make a contribution,” he noted.
John Khamiwa shares tips for long, healthy life

When asked what the secret to a long life is, the veteran lawyer explained that he exercises a lot and eats healthy food.

“I do a lot of exercise; I walk a lot. I eat food my mom gave me when I was young. I belong to the Ugali group,” he explained.

Khaminwa also advised the young generation to be interested in other people’s issues and not to limit themselves to their own.

“Try as much as possible to take an interest in other people’s issues, and don’t confine to yourself,” he advised.

The senior counsel also revealed that he does a lot of reading to relax.
