The Gen Zs in their push demanded reforms and good governance were agitating for a stop to political tokenism as tool to appoint government officials.
They accused the Kenya Kwanza administration for what they term as weak and incompetent cabinet full of political appointees that was influenced by their contribution to new regime.
Ruto in his nomination speech defended his move terming it inclusive.
Meanwhile key figures in Gen Zs movement have criticised the move by ODM to accept the cabinet slots saying it was ill advised and a betrayal to Kenyan youth.
They scold Raila for not standing with the majority of Kenyans at their hour of need.
“Viongozi wetu wameendea positions sisi tumebaki …we shall soldier on and the tumbocrats are allowed to leave ….this was a noble discourse with a noble agenda and shall not be watered down by greedy politicians.” One of the Gen Z crusader lamented.
“Our time is now we shall deal with all of them to the ballot…Come #RutoMustGo move will continue until you heed to our demands it does not matter how many times you recycle your political sycophants.” Another Gen Z said.
Ruto overwhelmed by GeN Zs protest he quickly changed his heart and the two agreed to form a dialogue initiative pasteurized by cabinet appointment slots.
This would help Ruto Ruto quell down the country outrage.
Ruto has however defended his move saying he was looking for a government with a face of National Unity.
“I will immediately engage in extensive consultations across different sectors and political formations, with the aim of setting up a broad-based government that will assist me in accelerating and expediting the necessary, urgent and irreversible, implementation of radical programmes to deal with the burden of debt, raising domestic resources, expanding job opportunities, eliminate wastage and unnecessary duplication of a multiplicity of government agencies,” he said when he dissolved the Cabinet…CONTINUE READING>>
