According to Tutto Atalanta, Arsenal is preparing a €50 million offer for Atalanta attacker Rasmus Hojlund. Reportedly, the Gunners are targeting the Danish star in the hopes of striking a deal this summer....CONTINUE READING

This is Hojlund’s first season with the Italian club, and he’s already made an impact as the team’s offensive leader with a string of strong performances.

The Danish phenom has scored 14 goals and contributed 5 assists in 33 games for his current team this season across all competitions.

With 1.5 shots, 0.9 critical passes, and 0.7 dribbles per 90 minutes in Serie A, the 20-year-old certainly deserves praise. After completing only 74.8% of his passes in the Italian Serie A, he needs to be more careful with the ball in the final third (stats via who scored).

Atalanta has a deal with Hojlund that runs through the summer of 2027. It’s hardly shocking that Arsenal would have to pay €50 million to sign him.

Holland can open up room for himself and land some solid blows. In the final third, he possesses the vision to create some enticing scoring opportunities for his club. To be successful at the top level, though, the Danish attacker must improve his ball control in the other team’s half.

Hojlund would provide Mikel Arteta, the Arsenal manager, with extra options in the attacking third thanks to his tall 1.91m stature. Competing with Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah for a starting role at the Emirates Stadium is within his skill set.

Hojlund, at 20, shows promise as a future superstar on the European soccer scene. Thus, the Gunners should seriously consider signing him this summer for the long haul.

If Arsenal finds a way to sign him when the transfer market reopens later this year, he will immediately be thrust into the physical nature and high intensity of regular Premier League games.

And yes he would be a good choice for Mikel Arteta.
