While Graham Potter would be leaning towards his Defensive tactics that he has been using in the last few games, the England International also has a trump card.

A Player that Graham Potter cannot afford to keep out of his starting lineup against Real Madrid in April is Mykhaylo Mudryk. The Ukrainian Winger has already faced Real Madrid test this season in the UEFA Champions League when he was still at Shakhtar Donestk and he passed it in flying colours, earning himself a standing ovation in Santiago Bernabeu.

Apart from already facing Real Madrid in the UCL this season, Graham Potter would be putting himself ahead of the game against the Los Blancos by fielding Mykhaylo Mudryk against Dani Carvajal.

Dani Carvajal is not as fast as Mykhaylo Mudryk and the 21-year-old showed that during the group stage Against Real Madrid as the Real Madrid aging Right-back struggled to keep up against Mykhaylo Mudryk.

The problem on Graham Potter’s side now is that Mykhaylo Mudryk is not his preferred option for the Left wing position as Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic are ahead of him. Even Conor Gallagher could play in the wing ahead of Mykhaylo Mudryk if Graham Potter uses a 3-5-2 Formation.

However, this would be a huge mistake. It’s not a guaranteed that Mykhaylo Mudryk will be vital against Real Madrid but, his recent performance against Real Madrid certainly gives him an edge that could be explore to overcome Real Madrid.
