Speaking at Mabanga ATC during the handover ceremony of motorcycles to ward revenue officers, Governor Lusaka warned that any officers found guilty of enriching themselves through corrupt means would face severe consequences.

Emphasizing the county’s commitment to enhancing its revenue base, Governor Lusaka stressed the need for counties to diversify their income streams instead of relying solely on national government allocations. He underscored the importance of integrity and transparency in revenue collection, stating that the county would not tolerate any form of corruption within its ranks.

The governor also issued a stern warning to enforcement officers who have been overstepping their roles by posing as revenue collectors, urging them to stick strictly to their job descriptions. Furthermore, he expressed concern over county officers who resist transfers, suggesting that such behavior might indicate the presence of cartels within certain departments.
