Speaking in Githunguri, Kiambu County, during the funeral service for Kiambu Senator Karungo wa Thang’wa’s late brother, Martean Wainaina Thang’wa, and sister-in-law, Penninah Wanjiru, Gachagua emphasized that the fight against illegal substances must continue without interruption.

“We must save our children from the devastation of drugs and illicit brews,” Gachagua declared. “As a truthful leader, I am committed to publicly naming those who are responsible for distributing this poison to our communities.”

Gachagua emphasized that the Mount Kenya region is not defined by tribal divisions, urging residents to support the government’s initiatives.

He was joined by a prominent group of leaders, including Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata, Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot, and several Senators and MPs among them John Kinyua (Laikipia), Okiya Omtatah (Busia), Karen Nyamu (Nominated), Veronica Maina (Nominated), Host MP Gathoni Wamuchomba.
