The English Premier League is set to come to an end on Sunday afternoon, after an interesting season that saw much drama unfold in the premier league.
Some big teams missed out on the Champions League spot, while a few missed out on any European competition next season. It was a dismissing season for three London giants after Arsenal bottled the league to Manchester City.
Tottenham Hotspur on the other hand failed to qualify for the Champions League and the Europa League with the London club set to play in the European Conference League for the first time in the history of the club.
Chelsea had the most dismissing season after failing to qualify for any European competition ahead of the 2023/24 season.
However, ahead of the final game of the season, Chelsea football club will host Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge just a few days after the Red Devils thrashed them 4-1 at Old Trafford.
Newcastle United will be bidding to beat Chelsea to boost their hope of finishing above Manchester United if the Old Trafford outfit slip against Fulham.
League winners Manchester City will end their season with a game against Thomas Frank’s Brentford. Although Pep Guardiola could rest some of his important players, a win is on the card for the Citizens.
Arsenal will host Wolverhampton Wanderers at Emirates Stadium, while Liverpool battles relegated Southampton at Saint Mary’s Stadium.
