France Squad For Euro 2024 Qualifiers: Dembele, Nkunku Back

Didier Deschamps has named his France squad for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers in June. Among the notable players making a return to the squad are Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele and RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku. Fans are eagerly anticipating the performance of these talented athletes as they take the pitch for their country.

Due to fitness issues, both players were unable to participate in France’s initial qualifying matches in March. France managed to secure a 4-0 victory against the Netherlands and a 1-0 win against the Republic of Ireland, despite their absence.

With six points already secured in qualifying Group B, the team is set to face off against the underdog Gibraltar in Faro, Portugal on June 16th. Following that, they’ll return home for a match against Greece just three days later.

“You will say I am very pragmatic, but the three points that are available against Gibraltar have the same value as those we took against the Netherlands or in Ireland,” Deschamps told reporters in Paris.

“He was supposed to be in the squad for the World Cup but was ruled out by injury, but now he is back on top form,” added Deschamps of Nkunku, who scored four goals in the last five Bundesliga games of the season for his club as they finished third.
