This is why especially in Nigeria, it is a disease that is best avoided than treated because in a lot of cases, the cancerous cells returned and the cancer returned as well.

The development of technology greatly helped in the treatment of cancer but it also lead to more cases of it as most foods we eat on a regular basis are dangerous to the body.

In this article, I will be talking about 4 everyday foods that are linked to cancer.

1. Processed meats

Most processed meats such as hotdogs, sausages, ham and beef jerky are different types of processed meats and they are preserved through various means, this includes smoking, salting and canning.

The process used in the preparation of processed meats could lead to the development of carcinogens, a compound that has been found to lead to cancer.

2. Fried foods

Fried foods are dangerous to the body and they have a lot of side effects to our health. When starchy foods are heated under high temperature, they form a compound called acrylamide.

Acrylamide has been found to be carcinogenic in most studies taken in rats. The international agency of research on cancer considers it probably carcinogenic

3. Overcooked foods

Undercooking your food is very unpleasant to taste and also overcooking it is unhealthy to the body. Studies show that overcooking foods especially meats could produce carcinogens. You are likely to overcook your foods if you prepare it under high temperature, this includes through grilling, barbecuing and pan frying.

4. Dairy products
