Speaking to De Zondag via Voetbal Primeur, the former goalkeeper questioned Roberto Martinez’s instance on using the Real Madrid winger despite his huge lack of form in recent seasons, with Hazard yet to hit even the tiniest bit of form the attacker reached at Chelsea since moving to Spain in a reported £150m deal.

Injuries and fitness have played a huge role in Hazard’s disastrous move to Madrid, yet despite this, the attacker continues to be selected for Belgium for international fixtures ahead of players in his position who are playing quite well, such as Brighton star Trossard, who Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing.
