Cold-water fish strong in omega-3 fatty acids, such as salmon, tuna, sardines, and mackerel, may help prevent dry eyes, macular degeneration, and cataracts.

1. Green leafy vegetables

Lutein and zeaxanthin are found in high concentrations in spinach and kale. The potential protection against cataracts and macular degeneration provided by these phytochemicals is intriguing. This powerful antioxidant combination can be found in abundance in broccoli, peas, and avocados.

2. Eggs

Eggs include lutein and vitamin A, both of which are good for the eyes and may provide protection against night blindness and dry eyes, respectively.
