However, there are some activities women should avoid during their period, not just because they do not feel great, but because they could harm their health or make you feel much worse.

1. Using the Same Pad All Day

This is an unhealthy habit that can attract bacteria into your private organ and harm the area. It can also cause bad odour and skin rashes around the private organ, which do not appear to be healthy. As a result, make sure you change your sanitary pad every four hours.

2. Avoid salty foods

Salty foods and snacks can make your period symptoms worse. Salty meals contribute to the bloating and water retention experienced by women during their periods. Consuming salty foods can cause cramping.

3. If you’re on your period, you should avoid drinking coffee. This is because the caffeine in coffee might make you feel more agony and discomfort, so it’s best not to drink it, no matter how much you want to.

4. Smoking

Another unhealthy thing to do while on your period is to smoke cigarettes. Studies have shown that women who smoke during their periods experience more cramps and suffering than women who do not smoke.

So, regardless of whether you are addicted to or enjoy smoking, and even though smoking is typically harmful to the body, make sure you don’t do so when on your period for your own good.

5. Waxing Or Shaving Your Pubic Hair

Shaving your pubic hair while on your period is highly discouraged. This is because the area is sensitive, and while you’re menstruating, your period flow may interfere with or mix with the hair you’re trying to remove, which may be quite disgusting and unhealthy.
