Embolo scored two goals for Switzerland in the group stage. For the 25-year-old, these two goals were the result of six shots he fired. Of these four shots, three were on target.

For the quality of chances, Embolo recorded an xG value of 2.0. On average, the xG value of the opportunity is 0.5.

Third on the list of the five most effective players in the 2022 World Cup group stage is Ritsu Doan. In the group phase, the Japanese forward is estimated to have the effectiveness of completing opportunities of 0.67.

For Japan, Doan was their ace throughout the group stage. He scored two goals for the Blue Samurai in the group phase. These two goals were the result of three shots he fired. Amazingly, all three of Doan’s shots were on target.

When it comes to the quality of chances, Doan has an xG value of 0.4. On average, each of the 24-year-old’s chances is 0.133.

Giorgian De Arrascaeta

In second place in the list of the five players who most effectively utilise opportunities in the 2022 World Cup group stage is the name Giorgian De Arrascaeta. The Uruguayan midfielder is estimated to have the effectiveness of completing opportunities of 0.67.

Cody Gakpo tops the list of the five players who most effectively utilised opportunities in the 2022 World Cup group phase. The effectiveness of the Dutch forward in completing opportunities is called throughout the group phase of 0.75.

Throughout the group phase, Gakpo scored three goals. The three goals were the result of four shots fired by the 23-year-old throughout the group phase. Of these four shots, three of them were on target and became goals.
