Matchday 5 of the FIFA World Cup kicks off at 11:00am today.
Switzerland vs Cameroon
Switzerland will take on Cameroon in an early kick off match at the Al Janoub Stadium. The Swiss came into the World Cup off the back of a quarter-final run at Euro 2020, while Cameroon finished third at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Cameroon, on the other hand, haven’t been in form since their Africa Cup of Nations run, winning just one of their last five, with that victory coming against Burundi.

Uruguay vs South Korea
Uruguay and South Korea will face each other today at the Education City Stadium. The match will kick off at 14:00 pm.
Uruguay will be hoping to build on an encouraging 2-0 win in their last international match against Canada. Uruguay have been in excellent form since Diego Alonso took over from Oscar Tabarez at the end of last year.
South Korea were on the verge of losing their star man Hueng-Min Son to injury but the player recovered on time before the World Cup started. Son will lead his country to face Uruguay today.

Portugal vs Ghana
Portugal will face Ghana in their opening World Cup match at 5:00pm today. They will be hoping to build on an encouraging 4-0 win over Nigeria last week.
Ronaldo made a surprise appearance at a press conference earlier this week to demand that focus be on the football rather than his actions, as the five-time Ballon d’Or winner desperately seeks to help Portugal win the trophy after several World Cup disappointments.
Despite their status as an iconic footballing nation, Portugal have only ever progressed to the semi-finals of the World Cup on two occasions in 1966 and 2006.
Following a brief absence from the World Cup in 2018, Ghana are back this year. They will face Uruguay in their next match whom they lost to in 2010.

Brazil vs Serbia
Five-time World Champions Brazil will face Sebia in a late kick off match at the Lusail Stadium. Brazil have arrived in Qatar as the only nation in World Cup history to have qualified for every tournament since the first edition back in 1930. Serbia will fight for a win today. The winner of today’s match will go on top of the table.
