Timo Werner was exceptional for the host at the heart of the forward line where he created a couple of chances which made him a complete threat in the opposition box and as such made his minutes spent on the pitch of play an impactful one.

The host in the 27th minute got the lead with a goal from Christopher Nkunku who made it one nil as the only goal that separated the two sides going into the half time break.

In the 77th minute of the game, Andre Silva was able to complete his brace of the night as he got the lead extended for the host which as such ended the game three goals to one at full time.

Timo Werner with his great influx of influence in the game will be hoping to keep the tempo and momentum going for his team in their next game as they continue their pursuit in the competition.
