Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech made a brief appearance in the final 10 minutes of the match. United boss Erik ten Hag, who previously managed Ziyech during his time at Ajax, approached the winger after the match. The two shared a few words and hugged before leaving the pitch together.

Ziyech also swapped shirts with United full-back Tyrell Malacia before heading down the tunnel. When asked about their conversation, ten Hag declined to reveal details, saying that they have a bond for life after experiencing many beautiful things together.

Hakim Ziyech, who joined Chelsea in 2020, has struggled to replicate his previous form in west London. He has only started in nine games for the Blues this season, which has been a tumultuous campaign for the club.

As a result, Ziyech is expected to leave Chelsea this summer. His former coach, Erik ten Hag, insists that Ziyech must be at a club where he is a first-team regular. Ten Hag was interested in signing Ziyech for Manchester United during last summer’s transfer window. However, his efforts were blocked by the board.
