Erijiyan river

When we got to the site where the river that contains the fishes was we didn’t see any sign of movement of fishes in the river, the residents of the town told us to buy bread and throw into the river in bits, when we did as we were told to our greatest surprise the fishes came out in large numbers jumping up, the fishes were extremely big if you are a lover of fish you will love to kill one and have a taste. But the most saddening thing about the fish is that it must not be killed according to tradition of the town, if it is killed and cooked it will not get done no matter the hour of cooking. Anybody that goes against this tradition by killing the fishes have prices to pay for looking down on tradition. According to indigenes of the ancient town some people have killed the fishes in the past and paid dearly for it, they said in the past someone that killed the fishes, her children died. They also said an atonement can be made to the gods by the person that kills the fish to avert the consequences that follows. There is a festival that takes place in the town to celebrate the fishes. There has been recommendations from prominent indigenes of the town that it should be declared world tourist centre. Will you love to visit Erijiyan Ekiti to see this mysterious fishes.
