Speculation about who the Democratic Party is going to put forward as its nominee has been rife since President Joe Biden stepped down on Sunday.

Although Kamala Harris so far seems the most likely choice, with Biden and other Democrat heavyweights giving her their backing, rumors about other possibilities have continued.

These have included Obama as a candidate, despite her repeatedly saying that she has no interest in running.

Trump responded to this possibility during an interview on Fox News’ Jesse Watters Primetime, which is set to air later on Monday, accompanied by his running mate JD Vance.

Watters asked Trump: “[The Democrats are] gonna cook up something at the [Democratic] convention. They might throw Gretchen Whitmer at you, they might throw Gavin Newsom at you, they might throw Michelle Obama at you.”

Trump responded: “I wouldn’t be worried about any of them. Look, they have bad policies—forget about the people. They have an open-border policy, they have a high-tax policy, they have a bad military policy. The whole world is going woke—their world is going woke.”
