Dennis Itumbi and Moses Kuria have landed jobs in government after President William Ruto announced new appointments.

Itumbi has been appointed as the head of creative economy and special projects.

Another former Cabinet Secretary to get a new role is Eliud Owalo who has been made Deputy Chief of Staff, Performance and Delivery Management.

Itumbi was born on March 18, 1985, in Gichugu, Kirinyaga County and is the firstborn in a family of five boys.

The journalist is multi-lingual, as he is known to speak Maasai, Kikuyu, Embu and Luhya fluently.

He attended Meru High School for his secondary school education and later proceeded to join the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication, where he attained a Diploma in Journalism.

Itumbi later joined Moi University and graduated with a degree in Mass Communication.

He proceeded to the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, where he attained his Masters in New Media, Governance and Democracy.
