Itumbi in a post debunked the issues raised particularly the complaint where Gachagua lamented being kicked out of the State House Diary, a WhatsApp group created to manage President William Ruto’s schedule.

The digital strategist clarified that the Deputy President knowingly failed to disclose some crucial information. According to Itumbi, President Ruto was kicked out of the group before Gachagua over reservations on classified material being shared on the platform.

“Yes, the Diary group was deleted. What DP Rigathi fails to mention is that the President was removed even before him, and The group was permanently deleted due to the highly classified documents being shared in WhatsApp groups,” Itumbi posted.

Itumbi further stated that a decision had been made that no other WhatsAppgroup would be formed on the diary.

Itumbi further responded to the deputy president’s complaint where Gachagua lamented that State House bloggers had altered an image of him standing near a window at State House during King Charles III visit to Kenya, which the second in command believes was a deliberate attempt to make him look bad by people working for President Ruto.

“On the King’s visit meme, it’s absurd how far DP Rigathi has gone to draw attention to a satirical piece of art, developed clearly by those against UDA at the time for social media banter,” the digital strategist posted.

Itumbi further claimed that at one point, Gachagua made the President cancel a crucial Universal Health Coverage meeting for a two-hour session to discuss the meme’s impact on his political standing.

The digital strategist further linked the hostility towards him from the deputy president over his refusal to dance to the Mt Kenya politics tune Gachagua has set.

Itumbi went as far as claiming that besides claiming him and Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro had been demeaning him, the deputy president had taken offence at the lawmaker hosting development events in his constituency.

“Some of us refuse to bow down to the ‘Kingpin’ politics of the mountain, and that’s our only ‘offense,” Itumbi alleged.

The clarification came after Gachagua addressed several issues on national TV. The Deputy President besides the State House diary saga also stated he remained unbowed amid rumours that a section of MPs are planning to impeach him.

The Deputy President revealed that he had held talks about this with President Ruto who assured him he was unaware and had nothing to do with these efforts…CLICK HERE FOR MORE ARTICLE>>>
