Pastors are God’s messengers on earth, and they are respected by many, especially those in the Christian faith, therefore, whatever the pastors say, or command to be done, is obeyed without questioning because it is believed that God may have spoken through him. That is why many families have entered into very big troubles that they do not know how to come out of due to prophesy from some pastors. What is the cause of this spiritual cleansing? One may ask. The answer is simple, during the beginning of every year, people need special strength and enablement to face the year ahead that they do not know what it will bring. They believe so much in God since He is the owner of the universe, if they commit their ways to Him, He will never fail them, that is why the trust in pastors seems to be high in this part of the world.
The effects of the trust on pastors are what we are seeing today, many of them that are not called by God have gone as far as giving their prophecies which have divided many homes and families, put enmities between husbands and wives.
The solution to this is for the government to regulate the activities of these men of God before they destroy our cultural values completely.

In conclusion, serving God is good, but it should be done in such a well that will bring glory and honor to our maker.
