Ruo Maina, a senior citizen, has reported to the DCI a big plot by Cooperative Bank CEO Gideon Muriuki’s to kill him.

In a statement to the DCI seen byKenya Inights, Kahing’ai Farm, Mathioya Kangemi in Murang’a County, Mr.Maina has narrated to the DCI how some guards and police officers, under the instructions of Muriuki, acosted him and allegedly vowed to shoot him dead.

He told the DCI that on July 1, 2024, he and his team served the cooperative bank of Kenya with two court orders issued by the High Court of Kenya Milimani Commercial and Tax Division with reference to the outcome of HCCC 2000 and HCCC 343 2002.

He told the detectives that later on July 8, they again visited the Cooperative Bank of Kenya legal department on the 2nd floor, intending to book an appointment with the bank leadership.

“We wanted to meet Dr. Gideon Maina Muriuki, Samuel Kibugi, and John Murugu. The senior legal officer, Mr. Jackson Oire, took my details and instructed me to come back on July 10 to confirm whether the said leaders would be willing to meet with us the decree holders of 34,816,200 stock shares in the bank,” read the statement in parts.

He later, along with his team, went back to the bank, situated at Heile Sellasie Avenue, and upon reaching the office, he was instructed to sit at the reception area as he went inside the glass door to clear his appointment with the legal department.

He was shocked when the security guard came back as a changed person; he had apparently received instructions from Muriuki.

“The G4S officer came back accompanied by other bank security officers in blue uniforms who, without my knowledge, started shouting and asking me what I wanted. I explained to them, but all was in vain,” he said.

In a few minutes, the bank officers who were harassing him were accompanied by two armed police officers whom he identified well.

“The two officers were from KICC police station; they told me that I was under arrest for creating disturbances at the bank; one officer told me that the CEO of the bank, Mr.Gideon Muriuki, had instructed them to throw me out of the bank and charge with trumped-up charges; the officers told me that they had instructions of shooting me to death as they ever sighed me at the bank.

“I went to KICC to report the matter, but the officer on duty referred me to the Central Police Station, where I made the reports, obtained an OB no. OB 50/10/72024, and was asked to make this report.” The statement reads:.…CONTINUE READING>>
