Keep in mind that Yakubu declared Tinubu the winner of the election a few hours ago. By today’s 4 p.m., both Tinubu and Kashim Shettima, his running mate, will receive the certificate of return.
According to Datti Baba-Ahmed, there are some individuals in Nigeria who have amassed a significant amount of wealth and are utilizing that wealth and power to exert control over the majority of aspects of society.
Datti asserts that the same individuals who control the judiciary are the ones instructing those who are dissatisfied with the election results to go to court.
Datti also stated that, whereas in Western nations, politicians rarely refer to court because they are aware of the repercussions, in the United States, they do so at will because they control the judiciary.
He stated that they would do everything in their power to reclaim their mandate and that the people’s will must be respected.
