Kylian Mbappe made headlines this week after he was made the captain of the France national team. This appointment has caused a lot of controversy as there are other players in the team who are older and more experienced.
However, one must understand that leadership is not all about age. Hence, in this article, I would be revealing the age at which Messi and Ronaldo were made the captains of the national team.
1. Ronaldo: The Portuguese forward is regarded as Portugal’s greatest player, he is also Portugal’s highest goal scorer. Ronaldo shows a lot of leadership qualities, and it is no surprise that he became Portugal’s captain in 2008, at the age of 23.
