According to Healthline, pharyngeal cancer, which may affect the upper part, middle, and bottom part of the throat; and also laryngeal cancer, which affects forms above the larynx (voice box), around it, and also below it, are the two categories of cancer that affect the human throat. However, in this article, I want to briefly educate you on the common causes of throat cancer and how to prevent it.

1. When harmful chemical compounds like nickel and common sulfuric acid come into contact with the throat or are inhaled in excess while working in factories or industries where the chemical substances mentioned are being produced, it causes the cells of the throat to grow when absorbed into them, and this becomes a throat cancer.

2. Excessive intake of alcoholic substances or drinking too much alcohol itself can affect the cells of the throat and induce them to grow or multiply without being controlled to form cancer of the throat.

3. Too much inhalation of tobacco or cigarettes can also cause throat cancer because of the chemical compounds that come out of them when burnt and changed into smoke. These compounds affect the cells when present in large quantities and make them grow and divide abnormally.

Ways to prevent throat cancer are given below.

1. You should make it a daily practice of consuming a good amount of fruits and green leafy vegetables because they are loaded with so many healthy chemical compounds, antioxidants, and vitamins that can help remove toxins and free radicals deposited around the throat and also nourish the cells of the throat.

2. Avoid staying too close to gas plants or machines that produce byproducts of nickel and sulfuric substances. If you happen to have inhaled some amounts of them, you should quickly go to the hospital for a medical examination and receive the right treatment to avoid the development of throat cancer.

3. If entirely possible, avoid smoking cigarettes or other tobacco substances. You will preserve your throat by observing this practice.
