The international break is coming to a close and the fans are expecting Chelsea to begin the club’s football better and stronger than they have been.

For the team to perform better, the manager has to play the best players at the club. In this article, we shall be taking a look at the strongest starting lineup for Chelsea after the international break.

Edouard Mendy is expected to return to the starting lineup after the international break. The Senegalese international was absent from Chelsea’s last game due to injury.

In the defense, Thiago Silva is ever present. Kalidou Koulibaly has to return to the lineup because his strength and agility give the Chelsea’s back line more confidence.

Marc Cucurella and Reece James are still expected in the left and the right backs respectively. Ben Chilwell would have to play from the bench.

In the midfield, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic are expected after the international break. Mason Mount is expected to play right behind the lone striker while Raheem Sterling and Hakim Ziyech are expected to play from the wings.

The expected lone striker for Chelsea is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Gabonese international has not scored any goal for Chelsea yet, but he is a more quality player compared to Kai Havertz.

With this lineup, Chelsea would be unplayable under Graham Potter.
