This is coming as a surprise to many as the player seems already set to play next season’s football in a Manchester United shirt.
His move to Manchester United last year summer was also surprising to many as he had a shock return to Manchester United. Last season was not however productive as it saw them finish out the champions league spot.
This may be the reason why Cristiano Ronaldo may leave Manchester United for Chelsea this summer.
The signing will be a win-win for both Chelsea and Ronaldo. It will give Chelsea the opportunity to win the premier league and the champions league while it will allow Ronaldo to continue playing in the champions league next season so that he can maintain his champions league goalscoring form.
Below is how Chelsea will lineup next season if they sign Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.
Goalkeeper;
Edouard Mendy will retain his place in the starting lineup after an impressive performance last season
Centre backs;
Thomas Tuchel is frequent with three at the back. His best option will be Chalobah, Silva, and Azpilicueta.
Chalobah will start on the left, Silva in the middle, and Azpilicueta on the right.
Wing back
Thomas Tuchel is set to pair Reece James and Ben Chilwell.
Reece James will start on the right while Chilwell will start on the left having recovered from injury
Midfielders;
Kovacic and Kante are set to boss the midfield. Both will play as central midfielders
Attacking Midfielders
Mason Mount is set to start as an attacking Midfielder
Strikers;
Cristiano Ronaldo and Havertz will both start up front.
Ronaldo will start on the left while Havertz will start on the right to unlock any teams defense
