Graham Potter looks on during Chelsea’s Champions League clash with AC Milan

Good evening and welcome to live coverage of Graham Potter’s post-match press conference after Chelsea’s 3-0 win over AC Milan in the Champions League at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea needed to produce a big performance to kickstart their group-stage campaign; the Blues went into the match bottom of Group E having lost away at Dinamo Zagreb and having only drawn at home to Red Bull Salzburg in their last Champions League outing.

That perhaps explained Chelsea’s tentative start. There could not be another slip-up. And there wasn’t after Wesley Fofana guided a shot into the far post after Milan had failed to clear a Ben Chilwell corner.

It was an advantage the Blues held at the interval and in the second period, Reece James took control of the contest. It was his fine cross that left Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with a simple finish from close range and the academy graduate then rifled home a third goal from close range.

The second half was dominant from Chelsea and was a real statement of intent from the Blues that after a shaky start to the campaign, a change of head coach, and plenty of fixture upheaval, they are ready to lay down a marker in the Premier League and Champions League under Potter.

We are in position at Stamford Bridge for the Blues head coach’s post-match press conference. You can follow along with our Chelsea correspondent Adam Newson. Live updates will appear below.
