O’Hara’s comments come after the club’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace, where Fernandez captained the team but failed to impress.

He said: “I am not having Enzo Fernandez. I don’t think he is good enough… Lavia is a better player.”

Lavia is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, but O’Hara believes he should be preferred over Fernandez once he returns.

Fernandez, who cost Chelsea £100 million, has struggled to justify his price tag, and O’Hara’s comments will add to the pressure on the 23-year-old.
