Here are key positions that needs replacement or improvement in the team

Defense

Chelsea lost their two first-team defenders, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen on free transfers at the opening of the transfer window and it’s reported that the two Spaniard defenders Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azipicueta are also very likely to leave this summer and that leaves Tuchel with a few options to select for his backline.

His current options as natural center-backs are Thiago Silva, Trevoh Chalobah, Malang Sarr, and Levi Colwill. With this kind of option in the backline, it’s only ideal that Tuchel signs at least one top-quality center back to pair with Thiago Silva.

The defense is an area that cannot be ignored after the loss of Rudiger and Christensen, two key parts of Tuchel’s back three since the German took charge, that being said it is obvious that the blues are looking to improve their defense as they have been linked with one of the very top defenders Laliga, Jules Kounde.

Attacking Forwards

Up front, there are a few issues to contend with, as the Blues look to add flair and creativity to match the end product. With Romelu Lukaku looking set to leave the club, as well as one or more of Christian Pulisic, Timo Werner, and Hakim Ziyech, forward additions are required.

Richarlison is heavily linked to the blues and could end up being Romelu Lukaku’s replacement ahead of the next season. The Brazilian is very underrated due to his numbers, although I feel he will be a very good option for the team moving forward.

In terms of a versatile threat, Raheem Sterling coming from the left and Dembele coming from the right would be exciting to watch next season. These two players are supposed replacements for Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner assuming they end up leaving Chelsea this summer.
