The Nigeria under 17 team have been exceptional since the beginning of the WAFU B tournament, and they have been able to secure victories in their previous matches.
Nigeria coach started his best players that secure convincing victories over Ghana and Togo in their last two matches, and the players were impressive again, as they defeated their opponent 3-1.
Two freekick goals from in-form Emmanuel Michael and a goal from Abubakar Abdullahi were enough to give the Golden Eaglets a remarkable 3-1 comeback victory over their opponent.
The victory over Cote d’voire under 17 team has now taken the Golden Eaglets to the final of WAFU B tournament.
Reacting after Nigeria qualified for WAFU B final, CAF posted on their verified Twitter handle that;
“Nigeria are the third nation to qualify to the 2023 Africa under 17 Cup of Nations.”
