BREAKING: We Will Reveal The Truth About What Transpired In The Edo And Ondo Governorship Elections – Makinde

Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde, has vowed that what the All Progressives Congress (APC) did in Edo and Ondo elections will soon be revealed in court.

Makinde who inaugurated the completed dualisation of roundabout-testing ground-Ilesa garage road, in Osogbo, Osun State, on Wednesday, vowed that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will challenge the Edo and Ondo election.

He commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for completing the project started by his predecessors not minding the political differences.

“Somebody got distracted after the Edo and Ondo Election, he said they are coming for Osun and Oyo State, I urge you to show them pepper.

“I want to assure them that the game is not yet over in Edo and Ondo, we are challenging the result in court, we are law-abiding people in our party and we believe that whatever they have done will be revealed,” Makinde said.

In his speech, Governor Adeleke said the project was in fulfilment of his promise not to abandon projects inherited from his predecessors.

“Based on the plan of action, our administration has completed several projects across the sectors. In under 100 days, we completed the Osogbo – Ikirun road dualisation with full solar street lights. It has been open to use since then.

“We expanded the inherited reconstruction of Iwo – Osogbo road to include dualisation of a major internal road inside Iwo. We completed several abandoned projects inside Osun State University including the one at Isale Osun which was neglected for almost eleven years.

“Aside from our resolve to complete inherited projects, the road we are about to commission has important significance for the economic well being and safety of our people. Before our assumption of office, we had reports of multiple fatal accidents and traffic gridlock on this road. Many voters actually demanded completion of the road during our electioneering campaign,” Adeleke said.

He thereby directed security agencies and road safety authorities to enforce safety codes on the roads, urging the Ministry of Works to consider the possibility of constructing speed breakers where necessary.
